Now, thanks to Kleenex(R) Brand remodeled Juniors boxes and Johnson Controls’ Railport(TM) Vehicle Personalization system, you’ll never be farther than a sneeze away from this reliable product in your car. The system allows consumers to store their Kleenex(R) tissues in an easy-access spot that keeps them out of the way at the same time.
Integrated into a vehicle’s overhead system, the Railport system features flexible docking technology that provides for the attachment of more than 30 different products from leading consumer brands as they become available – including Kleenex(R) tissues.
Kleenex(R) Juniors boxes recently were redesigned and fit perfectly into the Railport system. They contain tissues that offer the softness, strength and absorbency for everyday needs. They come in whimsical packages featuring a variety of colors and designs, and are available at many leading retailers nationwide.
The innovative Railport system will be on display at the Johnson Controls product and technology exhibit in room D2-15 of Detroit’s Cobo Center during the 2005 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). Johnson Controls’ participation at NAIAS kicked off on Sunday, January 9, 2005 with the opening of its display, and a press conference at 9:40 a.m.
“We are thrilled to have a relationship with a well-known brand like Kleenex(R) and its parent company Kimberly-Clark,” said Jeff Williams, group vice president and general manager of the product planning group for the Automotive Group of Johnson Controls. “The Johnson Controls and Kimberly-Clark names are synonymous with long-standing quality. The Juniors boxes provide another way in which consumers can personalize their vehicles to meet their individual needs.”
Railport technology gives automakers the opportunity to refresh their vehicles’ interiors without having to wait for traditional mid-cycle or major model changes. It provides them with the ability to achieve such advances at reduced design, engineering and tooling costs. The system also enables consumers to customize a vehicle interior to accommodate their unique lifestyles and hobbies.
